What to Do in a Dental Emergency
Knowing the first few steps — and who to call — makes a real difference in a dental emergency.

Call the clinic first
If you are in severe pain, have swelling, uncontrolled bleeding or a knocked-out tooth, phone us straight away so we can advise you and arrange to see you.
General first steps
Keep the area clean, avoid very hot or very cold food and drink, and do not place painkillers directly against the gum. If a permanent tooth has been knocked out, handle it by the crown and seek dental care urgently.
What we cannot do remotely
No one can diagnose the cause of dental pain over the phone or online. An examination is what identifies the problem and the right treatment.
This article is general information, not a diagnosis. If you have symptoms, book an examination so a dentist can assess you properly.
Ready when you are.
Book an appointment online, call the clinic, or send us a WhatsApp message — whichever is easiest for you.
